Puma welcomes back marketing veteran Tara McRae

Tara McRae has joined Puma as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Brand Strategy for Puma North America. McRae, a seasoned marketing executive with a decade of experience at Puma, brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her new role.

Focus on entertainment and basketball marketing

McRae will be responsible for leading and guiding Puma’s North American brand and marketing strategy. Her focus will be on driving profitable growth, enhancing brand equity, and developing consumer-centric marketing plans across all channels.

“Puma is a deep love of mine. It was well before I worked for the brand when I was a kid, it was while I worked at the brand, and it has never left me — even being away for eight years,” McRae told FootwearNews.

McRae will work closely with Puma’s global brand strategy team and will have a particular focus on entertainment and basketball marketing. She will also be responsible for developing and executing marketing plans for major sporting events such as the World Cup and the Olympics.

‘Deep understanding of the brand’s culture, values, and target audience’

McRae’s previous tenure at Puma spanned from 2006 to 2016, where she held various marketing roles. She brings a deep understanding of the brand’s culture, values, and target audience.

Before returning to Puma, McRae served as the Global Chief Marketing Officer and Digital Officer at Clarks Originals. She also held the position of Chief Marketing Officer at TB12, Tom Brady’s health and wellness brand.
