Forget the resume, send a Pizza
Want to stand out in the competitive NYC job market? Pizza Hut’s ResZAmes campaign lets you do just that by having your resume delivered on a hot pizza!
“Who could possibly ignore a resume when it is delivered as a delicious pizza?”
This innovative approach tackles the disheartening statistic that 75% of resumes never see the light of day, the company said in a press release. By combining their iconic pizza boxes with applicant resumes, Pizza Hut hopes to grab attention.
“We know finding a job can be daunting especially during this key hiring season, so we wanted to lend a hand to our job seeking customers and help them break through the clutter,” said Pizza Hut’s Chief Marketing Officer, Melissa Friebe. “By combining Pizza Hut’s iconic pizza boxes with job seekers’ resumes, we are hoping to help resumes drum up the same excitement as office pizza and help the applicant make a lasting impression. Who could possibly ignore a resume when it is delivered as a delicious pizza?”
Here’s how it works: Head to ResZAmes.com, enter your target employer’s zip code, and if they’re within the designated NYC delivery zone, upload your resume. Pizza Hut will then review submissions and choose a limited number of applicants to have their ResZAme delivered. Interested applicants have to submit their details by September 22nd.
Pizza Hut’s penchant for bold marketing
This isn’t Pizza Hut’s first foray into creative packaging. Recently, they offered “move-in table” boxes to ease apartment relocation woes. Similarly, ResZAmes aligns with the typical hiring surge at the beginning of Q4. Both initiatives address consumer pain points, offering a helping hand while reinforcing brand loyalty.
This campaign also highlights Pizza Hut’s penchant for bold marketing. Past ventures include “Goodbye Pies” for Valentine’s Day breakups, QR code-laden cars targeting competitor drive-thrus, and even converting TikTok content into real-world currency.
So, New Yorkers on the job hunt, ditch the standard application process and try something unique with ResZAmes! (And please, let us know if you got the job!)
