Jackie Lyons named Havas North America planning chief
Jackie Lyons, Havas Media Network UK’s chief planning officer, has taken on the same role in North America, effective immediately.
The role is a newly created position at Havas Media Network North America.
Based in New York, Lyons reports to North America CEO Greg James.
As the lead for Havas Media’s data-backed media planning process Mx in North America, Lyons is tasked with developing client-centric approaches that unlock the full potential of Converged, Havas’ global operating system announced in June.
Lyons was promoted to UK chief planning officer in April, when Havas Media created the Connected Planning Hub.
She was previously head of planning.
Lyons was named Future Media Leader of the Year at the 2022 Media Leaders Awards, where Havas Media also picked up Campaign of the Year.
She is also a member of The Media Leader’s Future 100 Club that seeks to nurture the next generation of leaders.
Before Havas, Lyons spent five years at Carat, first as client director for the Diageo account and was later named planning partner. She has also worked at PHD.
James said: “While we provide clients with a wide range of services across technology, data, sponsorship, content and much more, media planning remains a core part of our business as media is one of the strongest drivers of growth.
“We believe modern media planning covers content, connection and context, and Jackie’s role, along with her unparalleled track record and planning expertise, makes sure that Mx unlocks that for our clients.”
Lyons added: “I look forward to bringing my long history of unlocking new and exciting opportunities for clients, as well as my passion for blending both the art and science of communications planning, to this new role with the agency.”
